Overview

Coaching is Peanuts’ proactive guidance system. When you have active Goals, Peanuts monitors your progress and sends timely, encouraging nudges to keep you on track.
Coaching is automatic for users with active goals on Starter, Pro, and Team plans. No extra credits are charged for coaching messages.

How It Works

Coaching activates automatically when patterns are detected:

Pattern detection

Peanuts monitors your logging patterns and goal trajectory.

Trigger evaluation

When a coaching moment is identified (milestone reached, pace dropping, streak at risk), a coaching response is prepared.

Delivery

The coaching message is delivered via your active channel — WhatsApp, Telegram, or in-app notification.

Feedback loop

Your responses help Peanuts refine future coaching interactions.

Coaching Philosophy

Peanuts coaching follows the same manifesto as Ask Peanuts:
Peanuts states facts, not judgments.
  • ✅ “You’ve logged 3 workouts this week, up from 2 last week”
  • ❌ “Great job working out more!”
  • ✅ “Your savings rate has decreased 15% this month”
  • ❌ “You need to save more money”

Opting In/Out

Coaching is enabled by default when you create goals. To manage:
  1. Go to Settings → Notifications
  2. Find Coaching Messages
  3. Toggle on/off per channel (WhatsApp, Telegram, Email, Push)
