The onboarding explains three key things:
  1. Just describe what you need — No setup required. AI creates it for you.
  2. Track habits, logs, ideas—anything — From expenses to workouts to mood.
  3. Get insights over time — See patterns and stay on track.

Create Your First Helper

This is where the magic happens. You can create a helper in two ways:

Understanding Your Helper

Once created, your helper includes several powerful components:

Input Fields

Text, numbers, dropdowns, dates, and checkboxes to capture your data.

Widgets

Visual tools like streak counters, stopwatches, timers, ratings, and charts.

Smart Rules

Validation, required fields, cooldown periods, and behavioral patterns.

Visual Theme

Custom icon and color to make each helper instantly recognizable.

Add Your First Entry

Now let’s log something to your new helper!
1

Open your helper

From the home screen, click on your helper card to open it.
2

Fill in the fields

Enter your data in the provided fields. Required fields are marked with a red indicator.

3

Submit your entry

Click the Add or Log button (depending on your helper type). You’ll see a success message confirming your entry was saved.
Your entry is now recorded with a timestamp and appears in your history.
Pro tip: Use voice entry! Click the microphone icon to speak your entry instead of typing. Peanuts will transcribe and parse your speech automatically.

Your home screen is your command center for all helpers.

Creating More Helpers

Click the + New Helper button at the top of your home screen to create additional helpers. Each helper is completely independent with its own data, fields, and settings.
Free tier limits: You can create up to 3 active helpers on the free plan. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited helpers.

Next Steps

You’ve created your first helper! Here’s what to explore next:

Troubleshooting

Try being more specific in your description. Instead of “track stuff,” say “track my daily water intake in glasses.”You can also refine your helper after creation using the Tweak button or natural language chat.
Free accounts are limited to 3 active helpers. You can either:
  • Delete an existing helper to make room
  • Pause helpers you’re not actively using
  • Upgrade to a paid plan for higher limits
Check that all required fields are filled in (marked with red). If using voice entry, ensure your microphone permissions are enabled.
This is normal! When your request could be interpreted multiple ways, Peanuts asks follow-up questions to create the best helper for your needs.

Congratulations! You’ve created your first helper and logged your first entry. You’re now ready to track anything that matters to you.
